The Endless Chase
The aim for this project was to design a short video explaining a word using only visuals. The word that was chosen was “Pursuit.” Targeted towards those who enjoy motion and video creation, this piece demonstrates the word by depicting a car chase through a city landscape.

Sketching from Start to Finish
The original design of this piece had two cars (cop car and suspects’ vehicle) on a black canvas. To achieve this, a storyboard and colour palette were established and executed. This piece was well received by the clients; however, I recently had the opportunity to revisit this project and make some improvements. The original idea stayed in use, but adjustments were made to the timing on the animations, and design elements were added.Adding a city landscape for the vehicles to drive through enhanced this piece greatly and made it look and feel more complete. There were many consultations with the client to ensure that the piece was still moving in the right direction and explained the word effectively.

Explaining Through Visuals
The final design delivers a complete, detailed city landscape, perfect for two vehicles to drive through at great speeds. Even though the client already enjoyed the original piece, they were excited to see all the refinements and additions that were made to enhance the piece. Looking back, spending more time making adjustments to the timing and easing of the video would make it flow more smoothly.
