Staying In or Going Out?
The aim for this project was to create and design 2 beer can labels that showcase some part of the capital city, Ottawa. Targeted towards young adults ranging between 21-40 years old, these flavours are perfect for both winter and summer months. These beer can designs showcase two different types of environment you can visit in Ottawa, especially with your dog.

Sketching from Start to Finish
While designing these beer can labels, it was very important to make the Ottawa locations the main focus. The goal was to make both of the designs exact opposites. The first being set in the summer, during the day, surrounded by others, and located more on the outside of the city.Meanwhile, the second is during the winter, at night, alone in the city streets. The colour palette was refined multiple times throughout the design process. Through meetings with the client, the desired result was reached. Once the labels were complete, the next step was to design animated promotional pieces. After confirming storyboards with the client, the motion pieces were constructed. Many adjustments were made throughout the editing process, particularly to the transitions.

Your Personality
The final designs deliver a set of unique, detailed beer cans and promotional motion pieces. The client was very happy with the result of both deliverables. Saying that they really enjoyed the illustrations on the labels and that the flow of the transitions in the promotional pieces are very smooth. Looking back, spending a bit more time on font choices would personalize the labels even further.
